Delivery apps deliver customers — and take 20–30% of every order. Direct ordering keeps the margin and the customer data. Here is the hybrid that works.

The direct-ordering stack 1. Website menu: real HTML pages (they rank on Google; PDFs do not), per-item prices, photos 2. Order flow: 'Order on WhatsApp' per item or per category — prefilled with items, the customer adds address 3. Confirmation: your staff replies with total + delivery time (or COD/transfer options) 4. Rider: your own rider for the delivery radius, or third-party couriers per order

The menu setup (an evening's work) Photograph the top 20 items (phone camera + daylight is enough), compress to WebP, publish with prices. Add family deals and the rotating special — the page the WhatsApp status links to every week.

Payments on direct orders COD (the default), Easypaisa/JazzCash transfer before dispatch for deliveries, card terminals for the dine-in cross-sell. No gateway paperwork needed to start.

Where delivery apps still fit Discovery for customers who never heard of you — treat their commission as marketing spend on NEW customers, then convert them: every app order's package carries a card with your direct-ordering number and a first-direct-order discount.

The tech setup A Launch or Starter plan carries the menu site; the PKR 999 store theme adds direct cart ordering when volume grows. The margin you keep funds better photography — which drives more orders. The flywheel starts with the menu page.
