Most hosting sellers in Pakistan are honest. But the fraud that exists follows patterns — learn them and you will never be the easy target.
Red flag 1: WhatsApp-only, no real website A business you cannot find outside a WhatsApp number, with no published prices and no company footprint, cannot be held to anything.
Red flag 2: prices that defy physics 'Unlimited everything + free domain + free SSL — PKR 99/YEAR.' Servers, support and electricity cost money. Impossible prices mean oversold servers or a business model based on your dependency.
Red flag 3: no published renewal prices The old teaser: year one cheap, year two a shock, migration out deliberately difficult. If renewal pricing is not written on the site, assume the worst.
Red flag 4: reviews only on their own page Check independent spaces — Facebook groups, Reddit r/PakistaniTech, freelancer communities. Ask: 'anyone used X?' The truth arrives in minutes.
Red flag 5: they register YOUR domain in THEIR name Some resellers hold your domains hostage. After purchase, do a WHOIS lookup: registrant should be you (or privacy behind YOUR registrar account).
Red flag 6: payment only via personal accounts with no receipt Personal Easypaisa with 'send screenshot' and no invoice/receipt trail means no accountability.
Red flag 7: exit is harder than entry No clear cancellation policy, no backup export, vague data ownership. Ask BEFORE paying: 'if I leave, how do I get my files and domain?'
Kairalmas publishes PKR prices (first year AND renewal), registers domains in your control, supports Easypaisa/JazzCash/bank with receipts, and answers pre-sales questions on WhatsApp — the same channel you would use to verify any of this.
